Score 1st Quarter
We’ve gotten through the first quarter in New Orleans, and your Minnesota Vikings trail the New Orleans Saints by a score of 14-7.
The Vikings won the coin toss and deferred to the second half, and it didn’t take long for the home team to take advantage of a depleted Vikings’ defense. The Saints met little resistance and capped their first drive with a 40-yard touchdown run from Alvin Kamara that saw him go basically untouched. Less than three minutes into the game, the Saints were already ahead 7-0.

— Minnesota Vikings (@Vikings) December 25, 2020The Saints got another possession, and they did pretty much the same thing with the same result. Alvin Kamara got his second touchdown of the day, this one from a yard out to put the Saints back into the lead, 14-7.
The Vikings punted on their next possession after pushing to near midfield, and the Saints started at their own 4-yard line. It didn’t matter much, though, as the Saints’ offense continued to have their way with the Minnesota defense. As we move to the second quarter of play, the Saints are already threatening, as they are looking at a 1st-and-10 from the Minnesota 16.
